/ MScribe AIS | Course & AIS Recorder /

Every course change and every target, on one record.

MScribe AIS keeps a continuous record of how the ship was steered and of the traffic around it. Heading, rudder and autopilot are drawn on one live timeline, and the AIS picture is recorded alongside it — so a manoeuvre can be reviewed exactly as it happened.

/ THE TRAFFIC PICTURE /

Every target around you, on the record.

The traffic picture, on screen

AIS messages from the vessels around you are received and drawn in place, so the bridge sees where each one is and how it is moving — alongside own-ship's own course record.

Heading and track of every target

Each target carries the direction it is making good and the track it has left behind, so a developing situation can be read at a glance rather than worked out.

Replay the whole picture

Recorded traffic can be opened again afterwards and watched back, showing where the vessels around you were in relation to each other at any moment of the passage.

A course recorder that remembers the whole picture.

MScribe AIS is a digital course and AIS recorder built on the SEALINK 5200 bridge platform. It replaces the mechanical course recorder with a continuous digital record of heading, set heading, rudder angle, rudder order and autopilot state — and adds what a classic course recorder never had: the AIS traffic picture around the vessel, recorded and replayable alongside own-ship's own track. Rudder response, autopilot mode, cross-track error and the position of every nearby target can be reviewed together after a manoeuvre, a close-quarters situation or an incident. Everything runs on a 5” capacitive touch display with AG/AF coating that integrates into the existing bridge network over standard NMEA 0183, with a dedicated Bridge Alert Management channel and USB-C for backup and software updates.

When the question is what happened, have the answer.

MScribe AIS turns steering and surrounding traffic into a record you can go back to — for manoeuvre review, crew training, incident investigation and port-state or charterer queries. No paper, no ink, no missing hour.
