/ VentoPro | Ultrasonic Wind Sensor /

Know the wind around your vessel, true and apparent.

VentoPro measures wind speed and direction with ultrasound, so nothing turns in the airflow to wear out or ice up. The display carries apparent wind continuously, and calculates true wind as soon as the vessel’s heading and speed reach it, with watch alarms on the limits you set.

Ultrasonic measurement

VentoPro reads wind speed and direction from the time ultrasound takes to cross the sensor head, and puts both on the bridge display. Nothing turns in the airflow, so there is no bearing to wear and no cups to ice up at the top of a mast.

Wind on the berth

Coming alongside, the wind that is actually pushing the hull is in front of you while the manoeuvre is being made — not a figure from the forecast.

Crane and deck work

Lifts and deck operations can be judged against the wind measured on board at that moment, so work is held or carried on by what the vessel is really seeing.

Key Benefits

Ultrasonic measurement of wind speed and direction.

Presentation of apparent wind at the vessel.

True-wind calculation with the required connected vessel data.

Marine data integration according to system configuration.

Ultrasonic wind measurement for life at sea.

VentoPro measures apparent wind speed and direction using an ultrasonic sensor. With the required vessel-motion and heading inputs, a configured system can also present true-wind information. The selected installation and marine data interfaces help bridge teams interpret wind conditions during passage and manoeuvring.
