Terms of Use

Last updated: 11 October 2026

About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website. By browsing it you accept them; if you do not accept them, please stop using the site. They are a contract between you and Sealink Technology B.V.

They cover the website only. The supply of equipment, software, spares, installation, commissioning and service is governed by the separate quotation, order confirmation, framework agreement or general conditions of sale agreed between you and us. Where any of those documents conflicts with this page on a matter of supply, that document prevails and this page does not cut across it.

Who we are

This site is operated by Sealink Technology B.V., a private limited company incorporated in the Netherlands, registered at Dalweg 3B, 3233 KK Oostvoorne. Registration number NL866420009, VAT number NL866420009B01. Full details are on our Legal Notice page.

Using this website

What you may do

You may view, download and print pages and documents from this site for your own internal business use: evaluating our equipment, preparing a specification, briefing a colleague, or supporting a vessel you operate. You may quote short extracts with attribution. You may link to any public page on this site, provided the link does not suggest an endorsement or association that does not exist.

What you may not do

  • Use the site unlawfully, or in a way that breaches a regulation applicable to you.
  • Interfere with the site’s operation or security, or attempt to gain access to any part of it, any server, or any connected system that you are not authorised to reach.
  • Introduce malware, or any code intended to damage, disrupt or degrade the site.
  • Harvest content or data from the site by automated means — scraping, crawling beyond ordinary search-engine indexing, or bulk download — without our prior written permission.
  • Republish substantial parts of the site, or use its content to build a competing product, catalogue or dataset, including as training material for a machine learning model, without our prior written permission.
  • Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice.

Product information and specifications

Descriptions, specifications, drawings, interface lists, performance figures, certificates and photographs on this site are published for general information. They are indicative. Equipment develops, firmware changes, and approvals are renewed, so the figures here may differ from the unit shipped.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, a warranty, or a representation that a product is fit for a particular vessel, trade or regulatory regime. Whether a device suits your installation depends on the vessel, the existing bridge equipment, the integration, and the requirements of your flag state and classification society. Confirm the specification with our sales or engineering team in writing before you rely on it for a purchase, an installation design, a retrofit, or a certification or survey decision.

Where a page refers to type approval, class approval or compliance with a standard, that reference applies to the specific model and configuration named and to the certificate in force at the time of publication. Ask us for the current certificate if it matters to your decision.

Quotations and orders

A quotation issued by us is valid for the period it states and may be withdrawn or revised before you accept it. An order placed with us is an offer to buy; a contract comes into existence only when we confirm the order in writing. Prices, lead times and availability shown or discussed are subject to confirmation at that point.

Intellectual property

Our content

All material on this site — text, images, drawings, diagrams, video, page layout, graphics, and the software that runs it — is owned by Sealink Technology B.V. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Except for the limited use described above, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, adapt, translate, distribute or commercially exploit any part of it without our prior written consent.

Trademarks

The SEALINK name and logo, and the product names GuardianGPS, Smeat, SeaVault, Velador, GuardianSCL, NetBlink, WaveBridge, MScribe and VentoPro, are trademarks of Sealink Technology B.V. Other names and marks appearing on the site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only; their appearance does not imply any endorsement or affiliation. Nothing on this site grants you a licence to use any mark.

Feedback

If you send us a suggestion, an idea for a feature or a comment on a product, we are free to use it without restriction, confidentiality or payment. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential through this website.

Links to other sites

Where this site links to a third party — a partner, a classification society, a standards body, a distributor — the link is provided for convenience. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse their content, and we are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data. We check a site before linking to it, but we cannot monitor it afterwards.

Availability and changes to the site

We aim to keep this site available and its content current and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or free of harmful components. Access may be suspended for maintenance, or withdrawn, changed or restricted at any time without notice. We are not liable if the site is unavailable for any period.

Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions that are not expressly set out here, whether implied by statute, common law or otherwise, including any implied warranty of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Information on this site is not navigational, engineering, regulatory or legal advice. Decisions about the safe operation of a vessel remain with its master, owner and operator.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, production, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or reputation, arising out of or in connection with your use of this website, your inability to use it, or your reliance on anything published on it — whether the claim is in contract, tort including negligence, breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, and whether or not the loss was foreseeable.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability arising from your use of this website is limited to EUR 500.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Dutch law. Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights of a consumer.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful or unauthorised use of this website.

Export control and sanctions

Marine electronics, navigation and positioning equipment can be subject to export control and sanctions regimes, including those of the European Union, the Netherlands and other jurisdictions. Information on this site is not an undertaking that a product can lawfully be supplied to you, to your vessel, or to the country or end use you have in mind. Supply is always subject to our compliance checks and to any licence that may be required. You must not use this site, or anything obtained from it, in breach of an applicable export control or sanctions measure.

Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. The cookies and similar storage this site uses, and how to change your choice, are described in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version published here is the one in force, and the date at the top shows when it was issued. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms, so please check this page when you return.

General

  • Severability — if any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it is severed and the remainder continues in force.
  • No waiver — a delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment — you may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms; we may assign ours to a successor to the business.
  • Entire agreement — these terms are the whole agreement between you and us in respect of this website, and replace any earlier understanding about it.
  • No third-party rights — no one other than you and us may enforce these terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of them or out of your use of this website, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the law of the Netherlands. The courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in its courts.

Contact
